Additionally, he has provided legal counsel to commercial roofing contractors in payment disputes.

Craig Novak's Previous Legal Experience

Before joining the Sprigg-Novak Law Firm, Craig practiced law at an AV-rated firm with a focus on various litigation areas, including family law, debt collection, probate, and criminal law. His commitment to social justice is evident in his role as the director of a non-profit organization supported by local faith communities. This organization specialized in assisting impoverished working mothers in the Texas Criminal and Education systems, advocating for their rights, and helping them obtain justice.

One notable success was convincing a court to eliminate the harsh penalties associated with failing to maintain auto insurance, which had been disproportionately affecting single mothers. Craig’s efforts played a role in the Texas Legislature eventually reforming the law to prevent such injustices.

Pre-Law Career

Prior to embarking on his legal career, Craig achieved recognition in the tech industry as an Operating System Ambassador for Hewlett Packard (HP). His role involved assisting Fortune 500 companies in optimizing their software for maximum execution speed. Craig was also recognized as one of HP’s top 10 System Engineers for both North and South Americas, representing HP to C-level executives in New York City and other major metropolitan areas across the United States.

During his time at Law School, Craig was honored with being selected to be a Law Review Member and through his work correcting legal research and editing other’s pre-publications academic papers, learned how to draft a pithy argument, and cut down a sentence to bring its utmost impact. Craig’s own paper was published in the American University School of Law, law review. Furthermore, Craig interned in several capacities that developed his abilities in the Courtroom including the 323rd Criminal District Court of Dallas, and Human Rights Initiative and Catholic Charities where he interned for an entire summer assisted people with their immigration issues.

Community Involvement

Craig believes in Community involvement as has spent years as a Frisco Chamber of Commerce member and Ambassador, a board member of the Frisco Library who was part of the decision to build the gorgeous new library from a former rocket factory, and was a 3-year member of the Collin County Bar Association Board of Directors.

Personal Life

Craig is a dedicated family man, with two grown children living on the western part of the United States. One of his children is a physicist, while the other serves as a market manager for a high-tech firm. Craig shares his home with his beloved South American-raised wife of 30 years, creating a bilingual and culturally diverse household. In his free time, Craig pursues his passion for music, studying under the guidance of two Grammy-winning instructors in electric bass and Cajun single-row accordion.
